A Mother's Love....

A Mother's Love....

Rahul was a boy studying in fourth standard. His father was in the Indian Navy so he was out in the sea. Rahul did not see him much. His mother was a maid in his school. She had only one eye. Rahul's friends teased him because of his mother and he felt embarrased when he was with her. As he grew up, he became more and more angry with his mother because she would come to take him in the college and he felt very embarassed. He at once got a job in foreign, left his mother and went there and married there. Soon, he became the father of two sons. One day, his mother came to visit him. As she knocked the door, the two children rushed to open it. They became afraid of her and started crying. Rahul scolded his mother to frighten his children and told her to go away. So, she left with tears in her eyes. Some days went by. A letter came to Rahul, explaining about the reunion of his school. So he went to India. He went to visit his mother; after all, a mother is a mother. When he went to her apartments, the neighbours told that his mother passed away leaving a letter for him. It read,

My Dear Rahul,

I want to tell something to you, you don't know. When you were small, you lost one eye in an accident. As a mother, I couldn't bear seeing you grow with only one eye. So I gave my eye to you so that you could see the beautiful world out there.

Your mother
